Fall Out Boy fall out?
After being quoted last year as saying “The world could use less Pete Wentz” ,Pete Wentz and Andy Hurley have both come out publicly to declare that Fall Out Boy are on a break.
The husband of Ashlee Simpson put like this on his recent blog about the band:
"I don't know the future of Fall Out Boy. It's embarrassing to say one thing and then have the future dictate another. As far as I know Fall Out Boy is on break. As much as i don’t have a solo project, I also can't predict that I'd ever play in Fall Out Boy again.”
Citing that there is no personal conflicts between the band members and that he is “the single biggest fan of Fall Out Boy and if this is our legacy than so be it. I am proud of it."
Drummer Andy Hurley put this up online for the fans of the band:
“The whole point of the break was to just get away, and not think about it, and in 2 years or so, come back and decide where to go from there. The reason I’ve given of touring and recording straight for 7-8 years is absolutely true as well. It was just burning us all out. And everyone else. We did too much so fast. Going away and coming back fresh could only be a good thing."
The band released a greatest hits album last year “Believers Never Die” and the last studio album was the critically acclaimed “Folie A Deux”.
Fans gathered something was up when Pete Wentz was not in the video for the single“What A Catch, Donnie”.
