Evil is coming to town
Norwegian Black Metal icons Mayhem have their 1st tour of Australia in September. Renown for establishing one of metals most controversial scenes in the early 90’s, Mayhem have had a turbulent 26 year career in which members have killed themselves, members have been murdered by rival bands and some members have been involved in church burnings.
After taking a eight year break, members Atilla Csihar, Necrobutcher and Hellhammer are apart of this incarnation of Mayhem. A Mayhem live show is typically a violent and bloody affair and have been known to involve cow’s blood being thrown into the crowd along with animal skulls and organs. The band have also come under fire from animal rights groups for dissecting sheep on stage.
Truly a evil and macabre experience, don’t be at all surprised if controversy follows them down here as well. If you like your metal cold, black and brutal go along to see Mayhem in September. Corpse paint will be a must!!
Tickets on sale this Thursday from the venues.
September 21st – The Kings Arms, Auckland
September 23rd – The Hi-fi, Melbourne
September 24th - The Factory, Sydney
September 25th - The Hi-fi, Brisbane
September 26th – Capitol, Perth
