What's News - bits n pieces

March 11th 2010 09:23
To show some love for the fact that the other day over 1500 people dropped by to read my Bluejuice Q&A, I'm going to throw another post on. Here's a few little bits and pieces I thought you'd like. (or not)

Bob Bryar, drummer from My Chemical Romance has left the band. Guitarist Frank Nero confirmed that Bob left about a month ago. Could explain the real reason for missing Soundwave?

It has been confirmed that Janes Addiction original bass player has quit the group again. His replacement...... ex Gunner Duff McKagen.

Fat MIke from NOFX posted on his record companies website that he got mugged while touring in Argentina recently. A thief stole his iPhone, but Fat Mike found the experience to be a almost delightful.

What a fucking great way to get robbed. No violence, no trauma, no chance I’m gonna run after him. Pretty sweet really. I also had a few hundred bucks in the phone case, but I would rather lose that then get held up at gunpoint or bashed in the head with a pipe. So even though I lost, I really kind of won. South America ain’t such a bad place after all.

Less Than Jake have acquired all their music back from all the various labels they’ve been on and are planning to re-issue all their records. Plus they are looking to release a 6 DVD set of them playing all their albums live.

Joey Cape and Tony Sly are heading to Oz to play some solo shows in May. Be assured that your scribe is very excited by this. Full details can be found at this website. I write for these guys sometimes. Much more professional than this shit!!!!
