The Temper Trap- conditions

From the opening notes to ‘Love Lost’, The Temper Trap have set a tone for this album. It’s going to be kick of shoes, lay on the couch and chill out. Let the songs seep their way into your sub conscience as you softly nod along. Let ‘Sweet Disposition’ transport your mind into the city at night. Open top car and slight chill to the breeze as it rushes over your face.
Allow ‘Down River’ to take you to the stream of a country town, where the local kids swing off a tyre swing and into the murky waters in summer. Go with ‘Fader’ to a sunday afternoon session at your local pub, shooting some pool, having a few beers dancing around the table with your girl/boy. Maybe ‘Fools’ will transport you back to your heady days as a youth, in dark nightclubs, experimenting with pills and getting lost in the music.
Wherever the ride takes you, this album will be the conductor of the train. If you desire just to switch off your brain for 40 minutes and unwind after a hard night out or a crap week at work, this album will be your choice. One of many great albums to come out this year, and again, by another Australian band. This year I feel to have been blessed with a lot of good local albums and seeing a lot of good local bands play live. I can’t wait to make that road trip down to the Falls Festival to see these guys play.
