The Riverboat Gamblers- to the confusion of our enemies

Sometimes a great rock record comes along that slips under the radar. Then, when you get around to finding it and hearing it, you feel like you’ve stumbled upon a lost island in the middle of the ocean. The Riverboat Gamblers “To The Confusion Of Our Enemies” is that lost island. Combining catching riffs with Mike Wiebe’s great voice, this album is packed with great punk/rock songs.
What is inspiring about this album is the honesty of the songs. Whether it’s the gawky teenage lifestyle in ‘Black Nothing Of The Cat’, the affirmation against adversity of ‘Don’t Bury Me...I’m Still Not Dead’ or the the clever attack at the music industry in ‘The Biz Loves Sluts’, the Gamblers play with the true spirit of rock n roll in their hearts.
Having built their craft over a number of albums and plenty of touring throughout America, The Gamblers have stepped up to a new musical maturity with the release of this record. Straight to the point, no nonsense rock songs with instant likable hooks make this a great solid record.
