Introducing - Thieves
May 30th 2011 21:51
For the Thieves, there was no grand plan, just some dudes making music together. With a EP in the can and some shows to promote it, the boys gave us a quick run down on recording and what drinks we should buy them.
How did Thieves first come about?
Thieves came about when Tom K, Brock and Tom Mann decided to start making music together again, soon after Crum and Adam joined.
How would describe the groups sound?
It's hard for us to answer this question, when we formed we decided we wouldn’t aim to achieve any particular sound and that we'd just let things unroll the way they felt best. So we'll leave that one to you!
Gives the lowdown on the new EP?
Basically been in and out of the studio, spending time and money on our Debut Self TItled EP. It consists of 5 full length Tracks produced and mixed by Ryan Hazel in his Ivory Lane Studios.
-Show Him
-Avalanche
-Dream
-Beggin
-Limbo
Whats the best and worst thing about recording?
Best- Spending quality time with all the Thieves, laying phat tracks down, fighting over pointless shit, rolling high class doobies, drinking Ryans beers, and continuously out-doing each other.
Worst- Waiting for the final mix.
Someone wants to buy you a drink after the show, what should they order?
Thomas K- House Red
Brock- The most Expensive Cocktail
Thomas Mann- A beer of sort
Adam- 2 Cokes and 1 Redbull JD
Crum- Jameson and Dry
To find out a bit more about the guys head over to their Triple J Unearthed page and grab a copy of their tune Avalance.
