The Frowning Clouds are short on words, but big on rock and thats all we need to know really.
What's new for The Frowning Clouds?
We recently recorded some tracks last time we were in Sydney and plan on releasing three 7"s that we're going to release this year.
Describe for us your sound?
60's inspired garage rock with a bit of pop
The term Nostalgia gets used a lot to describe you guys, whats the difference between nostalgia and retro?
I dunno... I think they're the same, only trendy people prefer one over the other
Which artists influence/inspire The Frowning Clouds?
All 5 of us are into different kinds of music... collectively we all dig garage RnB stuff... some more contemporary bands that are doing things we like are Straight Arrows, Thee Oh Sees, UV Race, Ty Segall, Cobwebbs...etc
What’s on the cards for the remainder of 2011?
Releasing these 7"s i was yakking about before, and a cheeky tour or two
